The new installments will help expand rapid emergency services in the event of accidents or other calamities.
UPSRTC takes steps to keep women safe
Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation buses will soon be upgraded to keep women safe during the journey using much needed GPS trackers and panic buttons. Officials have informed that this button will connect the bus to UP 112, the state police emergency hotline, which will relay the information to UPSRTC. Road officers and interceptors will be able to speed up rapid aid thanks to this mechanism.
For additional assistance, GPS trackers will monitor the exact location of the service, increasing immediate assistance on site. Officials also informed that the tracking system will be used by control rooms to monitor buses throughout the journey, 24 hours a day.
The Company’s board of directors is in favor of the project and has approved the installation proposal. Offers for this one were published on May 28 and offers can be submitted until the deadline of June 11. The agency that wins the bid will be allowed to create its own command center, connect to the UP 112 and also operate the supply. Previously, these arrangements were available on Pink Seva buses, deployed especially for women.
