The comedian pranks the world by posing as an air hostess who taped an abusive brother to sit down
As I watched this video of Frontier Airlines flight attendant Alfredo Rivera animatedly describing how he tied up belligerent passenger Maxwell Berry with duct tape, I kept telling myself “s ‘please let this be real’. Of course, the fact that I thought the video sounded too good to be true meant it wasn’t true.
It’s a parody video, featuring comedian The Real Spark, and it has garnered 1.5 million views on YouTube. But many people, including the media, believed the video was an actual interview with a Frontier flight attendant. I don’t blame them, as the video is edited to look like a real news clip and The Real Spark is compelling.
Even though the video isn’t genuine, it’s still hilarious.
A post of the video on Twitter has been viewed 1.4 million times at the time of writing, and was posted with the caption: “Alfredo Rivera is the greatest storyteller of our time.”
Piers Morgan, former CNN host in the United States and presenter on Hello Great Britain in the UK, was among those who shared the clip. He wrote: “It’s absolutely fantastic. We need more people like Alfredo in the world.”
As the video spread, many interacted with it as if it was a real report.
One user wrote: “I have never heard of Frontier Airlines, but I will book a flight to anywhere immediately if that means I can have this gentleman as my flight attendant!”
Another said: “I would be more than happy if this gentleman would attend any or all of my future flights.”
