Elizabeth “Liz” R. Jackson, 75 of Louisville, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home.
Elizabeth Ruth Moon, was born on September 27, 1947 in Baghdad, Arizona, the daughter of Alva Ralph and Alana June (Eddy) Moon.
She grew up and attended school in Seligman, Arizona.
Liz calls Kingman, Arizona home, where she resided until March 2020.
She worked as a housewife, veterinary technician (early 1970s) and professional groomer until her retirement in 2011.
Liz was a caretaker and mother figure to many, helping anyone in need.
When she wasn’t helping others, she loved tending to the variety of plants she grew in her garden.
Liz enjoyed bowling with her team in the late 70’s and early 80’s, competing in many tournaments throughout the area.
She has spent many hours volunteering at auction nights at the Mohave County Fair and running the Canine Capers 4H Club.
Liz also belonged to the Hualapai Amateur Radio Club, under the call sign KB7RGR.
After moving to Kentucky in March 2020, Liz found joy putting together puzzles with her daughter, Laura, and visiting her grandchildren.
Liz is survived by her children, Alana S. “Susie” and Laura J. Swanson-Willette (Harry); one sister, Alana R. “Ralphine” Call; four grandchildren – Zachary, Christopher, Kaila and Brenna; nieces and nephews; and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; his daughter Kimberly L. Swanson; brother George A. Moon; and ex=spouse, John T. Jackson.
A private service will be held in Arizona at a later date.
