Death notice of Duane Duncan (1948 – 2021) – Micco, FL
Duane L. “Doc” Duncan, 72, of Micco, FL passed away on Friday June 18, 2021 surrounded by his family. Duncan was born December 7, 1948 in Cleveland, the son of the late George Jr. and Almyra (Dion) Duncan. Duane lived in Willoughby until he moved to Florida 17 years ago. Duncan retired as a police officer with the Willowick Police Department after 26 years of service. He was also the Volunteer Officer for the Vero Beach Section of the Red Cross from 2006-2009. He graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1966. He served in the US Navy from January 1968 to November 1971. During his service he spent most of his time in Germany and Cyprus. Duncan has enjoyed life to the fullest through his many hobbies including reading, sailing, scuba diving, ham radio, flying his plane, riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and traveling / camping. He is survived by his significant other, Cricket Crum; her children, Alan Duncan and Jennifer Duncan Santana; granddaughter, Caya Santana; sisters, Charlene Keshe, Denise Duncan and Anita (George) Baker; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Duane also leaves behind his beloved macaw, Dixie. Friends can call 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, OH. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday July 1, 2021 at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor. Please meet in section 16 at the north end of the cemetery.
