Today and tonight
There will be a threat of strong to severe storms today southeast of I-20 and west of I-35. Large hail, damaging winds and flooding will pose a threat. Additional thunderstorms will be possible overnight.
From saturday to thursday
Additional thunderstorms are possible during the first half of next week. Any storm during this time could contain strong gusts of wind and heavy rain that can lead to flooding.

NWS does not plan to activate an observer at this time.
Today and tonight
Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible throughout the day and night as a cold front moves through the four-state zone. Strong winds will accompany heavy showers, and small hail may be possible. A few storms could mature and produce destructive winds and will remain the main threat.
From saturday to thursday
A cold front is slowly advancing south through the area on Saturday and will make the remainder of Memorial Day weekend very pleasant, with less humidity and lots of sunshine. Then we can expect more widespread showers and thunderstorms to return for the short work week.

The NWS will not need to activate emergency management personnel, ham radio operators and storm watchers following Thursday night’s strong to severe thunderstorms.
