Chester Kinney, 92, of Barnesville, Ohio, died at Liza’s Place on May 23, 2021.
He was born to Chester and Nell (Moore) Kinney on February 13, 1929 in Barnesville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Olive Kinney, with whom he is now reunited.
Chester is survived by his son, Brian Kinney of Barnesville.
A veteran of the United States Army, Chester served his country during the Korean conflict. He attended First Baptist Church and worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Barnesville school system, adapting easily to different situations and not feeling frustrated with unexpected challenges. He was a member of the Eastern Ohio Amateur Wireless Association (EOAWA) and received his amateur radio license.
Visitations for family and friends will take place on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the following service at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville. Dr Brian Bee, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, Ohio 43943.
