Byron Watson (1946 – 2021) obituary – Toledo, OH
From January 9, 1946 to September 18, 2021. Byron Watson was born in Lagrange, Texas to Mary Ann and Mack Watson. He taught many students the long-standing skills as a state-certified cosmetology instructor at Herron’s Beauty College, Toledo, Ohio for several years. Bryon’s leadership was instrumental in assisting his cousin (Michael Wright), which enabled the successful business operations of Have-A-Bar Ice Cream in Toledo, Ohio. Other jobs include Michigan’s Hickory Farms, The Dana Corporation, Ford’s Woodhaven Stamping Plant, and the Urban Minority Alcohol and Drug Addiction Awareness Programs (UMADAOP) of Toledo, Ohio. .
With learning as a favorite hobby, he obtained an FCC license as an amateur radio operator.
As a trusted confidant, Byron has been extremely helpful to many family and friends, and known for his wise words of wisdom that people have been looking for and always remembered and remembered.
Byron was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ann Simmons; brother, Alan Simmons; and his daughter, Sherryl Watson. He is survived by his father, Mack Watson; wife, Sherry Watson; son, Terrence Watson; brother, Richard Rodgers; sisters, Michelle Simmons and Gail Simmons; brother, Craig Simmons and brother, Guy Simmons; with 6 grandchildren. His special cousins, Michael Wright and Jaqueline Wright, also survive; nephew, Keith Simmons; and many other nieces, nephews; grand-nieces, grand-nephews; and close friends, Phyliss Johnson and Ronnie Forney.
The services will be a private ceremony in San Francisco, California.
